As the owner of WeatherVane Software I have been in the business of providing high quality contract software remotely for over 30 years.

I have a wide variety of work experience, and especially like new challenges and to be able to learn new technologies. My main strengths are Windows programming at all levels, working with hardware/firmware, system design and the ability to jump into existing projects. I have also done full stack web design and implementation, with an emphasis on back end design.

FAQ
Q - What kind of projects have you worked on?
I have worked on low level tape backup, printer drivers, porting Mac applications to Windows, PC remote control, digital imaging and distribution systems, media security, designing an autonomous rover, a large retail website for rubber stamps, and others.
Q -What languages do you know?
I am most proficient in C++, C#, C, Javascript/typescript, Python, and have worked in various others. I can pick up new languages as needed.
Q - Why remote?
I find I concentrate better in my own space and can be more productive, and the lack of a commute gives me more time to work. That said, each project is unique and I am open to considering on site options.
